The IBPS PO 2026 selection has a Preliminary exam (qualifying), a Main exam and an Interview.

Prelims Exam Pattern

100 marks across three sections — English Language, Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning Ability — with sectional timing and 0.25 negative marking. Prelims is qualifying only.

Mains Exam Pattern

The Mains includes Reasoning & Computer Aptitude, General/Economy/Banking Awareness, English Language and Data Analysis & Interpretation, plus a separate descriptive English paper (essay and letter writing).
